The Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D405 is a compact, short-range stereo camera designed for applications requiring sub-millimeter accuracy in close-range depth sensing. With dimensions of 42 mm × 42 mm × 23 mm and weighing just 60 grams, it's smaller than a golf ball, making it ideal for integration into space-constrained systems. Operating within an ideal range of 7 cm to 50 cm, the D405 achieves minimum object detection down to 0.1 mm at 7 cm. It features a global shutter depth sensor with a field of view of 87° × 58° and a depth resolution of up to 1280 × 720 pixels at 90 frames per second. The camera utilizes an image signal processor (ISP) to enhance the RGB data from the depth sensor, providing matched RGB and depth data without a dedicated RGB sensor. Powered via USB 3.1, the D405 consumes 1.55 W during streaming and 35 mW in idle mode. It supports the Intel RealSense SDK 2.0, enabling developers to create applications for robotics, automated inspection, agriculture, and healthcare.
