The SparkFun SEN-18020 breakout board features the LSM6DSO, a highly integrated 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) combining a 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis gyroscope. This compact, low-power sensor provides precise motion and orientation tracking, making it ideal for wearable devices, robotics, drones, gaming, and health monitoring applications. With the Qwiic connector onboard, the SEN-18020 simplifies I2C connectivity, enabling easy plug-and-play integration with compatible Qwiic-enabled microcontroller platforms like Arduino or Raspberry Pi. The LSM6DSO sensor excels with its embedded machine learning core and sensor fusion algorithms, which help offload computational tasks from the host processor, improving efficiency and responsiveness.
