About this item
The SparkFun Pressure Sensor – BMP581 (Qwiic) is a high-performance, ultra-precise barometric pressure sensor designed for applications that demand accuracy, low power consumption, and easy integration. Based on Bosch’s BMP581 sensor, this breakout is capable of providing highly accurate pressure and temperature measurements, making it ideal for weather stations, altitude tracking, drone flight control, and wearable fitness devices. What sets the BMP581 apart is its impressive relative accuracy of ±0.06 hPa, which enables altitude measurements with a precision of just a few centimeters. It features an exceptionally low noise floor, making it suitable for detecting the smallest environmental changes. The sensor can output pressure data up to 1,200 times per second and operates at a very low current, making it perfect for battery-powered and always-on applications. The board uses SparkFun’s Qwiic Connect System for quick, solder-free I²C integration, though traditional 0.1" pin headers are also available. It supports configurable oversampling, filtering, and output data rates to tailor performance and power use for your specific application. Whether you're logging weather data or fine-tuning a UAV's altitude, the BMP581 provides robust and reliable sensing in a compact package.Specifications
