The Geekworm X1010 PCIe FFC to Standard PCIe x4 Slot Expansion Board is a versatile accessory designed to enhance the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi 5 by enabling the use of standard PCIe x4 expansion cards. This board connects directly to the underside of the Raspberry Pi 5 via a PCIe 2.0 x1 FFC connector, eliminating the need for GPIO passthrough and allowing for seamless integration with other HATs. It supports a wide range of PCIe devices, including graphics cards (GPUs), RAID cards, USB expansion cards, high-speed Ethernet cards, Wi-Fi cards, and SSDs, thereby significantly expanding the functionality of the Raspberry Pi 5. The X1010 is equipped with a high-efficiency DC/DC step-down converter that provides up to 5.5A at 3.3V for PCIe devices and 5.5A at 5V for the Raspberry Pi 5, ensuring stable and reliable power delivery. Power can be supplied through a 12V DC jack (5.5×2.1mm) or an ATX 4-pin peripheral power connector. The board also features the PCIE_DET_WAKE pin, which is pulled high to automatically probe the PCIe bus at boot time, facilitating easy device detection. With its compact PCB size of 85mm x 82mm, the X1010 is an ideal solution for users looking to expand the capabilities of their Raspberry Pi 5 with standard PCIe devices.
