Building upon the D455 model, the D455f integrates an IR pass filter that enhances depth quality by improving the strength of the infrared projector pattern. This modification significantly reduces depth noise and mitigates issues caused by repetitive vertical patterns and reflective surfaces, making it ideal for environments with bright overhead lighting or minimal texture, such as warehouses or industrial settings. The D455f utilizes global shutter depth sensors, offering high-resolution depth data at up to 1280×720 pixels and 90 frames per second. Its depth field of view spans 87° × 58°, ensuring comprehensive scene coverage. The integrated 2 MP RGB sensor provides color images at 1280×800 resolution and 60 fps, with an 87° × 62° field of view. The camera operates effectively within an ideal range of 0.6 to 6 meters, delivering depth accuracy of less than 2% at 4 meters. Designed for seamless integration, the D455f connects via USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 and supports the Intel® RealSense™ SDK 2.0, facilitating development across various platforms.
