The Arduino Mega ADK is a powerful microcontroller board based on the ATmega2560, designed for advanced projects requiring extensive I/O and USB host capabilities. It features 54 digital I/O pins (15 PWM), 16 analog inputs, 4 hardware serial ports (UARTs), and a 16 MHz crystal oscillator. The board includes a USB connection, power jack, ICSP header, and reset button. Unlike the standard Mega 2560, the Mega ADK supports Android Open Accessory development, making it ideal for interfacing with Android devices. Revision 3 adds a pull-down resistor on the ATmega8U2 HWB line to simplify entering DFU mode for firmware upgrades.
