The MIKROE-1298 is a compact GSM/GPRS cellular network communication board built on the Telit GL865-QUAD module, offering a comprehensive suite of features for cellular networking. It includes network status indication, jamming detection, and an embedded TCP/IP stack that supports protocols such as TCP, IP, UDP, SMTP, ICMP, and FTP. The board implements full GPRS class 10 functionality and supports GSM supplementary features like call barring, waiting, forwarding, and holding, as well as calling line identification presentation or restriction (CLIP/CLIR). Additionally, it features integrated voice communication codecs and an embedded Python script interpreter for executing scripts directly on the module.
