The BMP280 is a compact barometric pressure and temperature sensor from Bosch, known for its precision and low power consumption. It measures atmospheric pressure from 300 to 1100 hPa with ±1 hPa absolute accuracy and temperature with ±1 °C accuracy, enabling altitude estimation within about ±1 meter. It supports both I²C and SPI communication interfaces, operates at supply voltages from 1.71 to 3.6 V, and consumes only a few microamps in low-power mode.
