The VEML7700 is a high-precision ambient light sensor that offers direct lux measurements via I²C communication. It features a 16-bit resolution, enabling detection of light levels from 0 to approximately 120,000 lux, with a sensitivity as fine as 0.0036 lux per count. Designed with Filtron™ technology, it closely mimics human eye response, ensuring accurate ambient light sensing. The sensor operates efficiently with a supply voltage range of 2.5V to 3.6V and boasts low power consumption—drawing just 45µA during active operation and 0.5µA in shutdown mode.
