The W5500 Ethernet Expansion Board is the latest addition to DFRobot's Ethernet lineup, designed for a broad range of IoT projects. This compact board integrates Power over Ethernet (PoE) and the W5500 Ethernet chip, offering a powerful and efficient solution for adding Internet connectivity to embedded systems. The W5500 chip simplifies network communication with its embedded TCP/IP stack, 10/100 Ethernet MAC, and PHY. Supporting protocols like TCP, UDP, IPv4, ICMP, ARP, IGMP, and PPPoE, it ensures fast and reliable data transfer. The board features a 32K internal memory buffer for Ethernet processing, SPI speeds up to 80MHz, and energy-saving options like Wake on LAN and power-down mode. Compatible with the Arduino UNO form factor, it also supports the IEEE 802.3at PoE standard. Additional features include a MicroSD card socket, I2C ports, UART, digital and analog ports, and compatibility with the Arduino Ethernet Shield 2, making it highly versatile for various IoT applications.
