The WS2812B-2020 is an intelligent LED light source that incorporates the latest MOLDING packaging technology. It combines the RGB chips and control circuit into a single 2020 package, ensuring compactness and efficiency. Internally, it features a digital data latch, a signal reshaping amplification drive circuit, a precision oscillator, and a voltage-programmable constant current control, all working together to ensure consistent color brightness across all pixels.

Using a single NZR communication protocol, the data is transferred through the DIN port, which receives information from the controller upon power-up. The first pixel collects the initial 24-bit data, stores it in the internal latch, and then transmits reshaped data to the next pixel via the DO port. This process allows for cascading an unlimited number of pixels, with transmission speed being the only limiting factor.

With its auto-reshaping transmission technology, the WS2812B-2020 ensures reliable signal transmission even over long chains. The RESET time of over 280μs prevents errors due to interruptions. The chip is also compatible with low-frequency and budget-friendly MCUs. The 2KHz refresh rate guarantees smooth operation, free from flickering, even when used for HD video applications, providing an outstanding display performance.
