The ELECROW CrowPanel 7.0‑inch ESP32 HMI Display is a versatile, large‑format human‑machine interface (HMI) module combining a 7.0‑inch RGB TFT LCD touchscreen with an integrated ESP32‑S3 microcontroller platform. It is designed for developers, hobbyists, and industrial/IoT applications that require a capable graphical display with touch input, wireless connectivity, and rich peripheral support. The screen has a resolution of 800×480 pixels, delivering sharp, usable visual real‑estate for GUIs, control panels, data dashboards, and interactive displays. The module uses a capacitive touch screen (multi‑touch capable) mounted over a TN TFT‑LCD panel. It is powered by the ESP32‑S3‑WROOM‑1‑N4R8 module, which is a dual‑core 32‑bit LX6 processor running up to 240 MHz, and includes built‑in WiFi (2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0. This allows wireless communication and remote control or updates. In addition, it has 4 MB of Flash memory and 8 MB of PSRAM, sufficient for moderate graphics and buffering needs typical in HMI tasks. To aid expansion and application flexibility, the board includes multiple interfaces: UART, GPIO, I2C, USB, a speaker jack, a battery interface, and a TF (microSD) card slot. The display module supports several development environments — Arduino IDE, Espressif IDF, PlatformIO, MicroPython — and is compatible with LVGL (Light and Versatile Graphics Library), allowing creation of sophisticated user interfaces. Because this version is without an acrylic case, there is no enclosure — exposing the display and driver board; care is needed for physical protection.
