The BIGTREETECH BTT Octopus Max EZ is a flagship 32-bit control board designed for high-end 3D printers that demand maximum expandability, performance, and reliability. Based on the powerful STM32H723 microcontroller (running at 550 MHz), this board offers outstanding processing capabilities, perfect for complex setups like Voron, CoreXY, IDEX, or multi-extruder machines. What sets the Octopus Max EZ apart is its support for BIGTREETECH’s EZ driver system, allowing plug-and-play installation of stepper drivers—no soldering, jumpers, or complicated wiring needed. It supports up to 10 stepper motors, making it ideal for large or heavily customized printers. The board features extensive I/O support, including CAN Bus, USB, Ethernet, multiple heater/fan outputs, and BLTouch/filament sensor interfaces. It also integrates with Klipper firmware effortlessly, especially when paired with a CB1 or CM4 core board using the onboard socket, turning it into a single-board Klipper host + MCU solution. With features like high-voltage protection, precise motion control, sensorless homing, and future-proof expansion, the Octopus Max EZ is the ultimate choice for enthusiasts and professionals building next-generation 3D printers.
