The PIMORONI Power SHIM is an intelligent power management add-on designed for the Raspberry Pi Pico and similar boards, offering seamless battery charging and power control in a compact form factor. Equipped with an inbuilt charging circuit, the Power SHIM can recharge its connected lithium polymer (LiPo) battery simply by supplying power via USB, making it an ideal solution for portable and battery-powered projects.Safety is a key feature, with integrated protection circuits to prevent over-discharge, overcurrent, and other common battery hazards, ensuring reliable and safe operation. The SHIM includes a convenient power button that lets you easily toggle battery power on or off, enabling you to turn your project on or off without unplugging cables.Two LED indicators provide clear visual feedback: a white LED lights up when the SHIM is supplying power to your board, while a red LED illuminates during battery charging.
