The XBee 3 Module with RP-SMA antenna is a powerful, versatile wireless communication module designed to enable long-range, reliable connectivity for a variety of IoT, industrial, and embedded applications. Based on Digi’s trusted XBee platform, this module supports multiple wireless protocols including Zigbee, 802.15.4, and DigiMesh, providing flexibility in network topologies such as point-to-point, star, and mesh networks. Equipped with an RP-SMA connector, the module supports external high-gain antennas, significantly extending communication range—up to 9 miles (14.5 km) in line-of-sight conditions. This extended range is ideal for applications like remote monitoring, asset tracking, smart agriculture, and industrial automation where devices need to communicate over large distances. The module supports AES 128-bit encryption for secure data transmission, safeguarding sensitive information in wireless networks.
