About this item
The SparkFun BabyBuck Regulator Breakout – 3.3V (COM-18357) is a compact and efficient voltage regulator board designed to step down higher input voltages to a stable 3.3V output. Powered by the AP63203 synchronous buck converter, it offers high efficiency, a low-profile design, and reliable performance for embedded and IoT applications. This board is capable of converting input voltages ranging from 3.8 V to 32 V down to a fixed 3.3 V output, making it ideal for systems powered by batteries, wall adapters, or solar sources. It can deliver up to 2 A of continuous current, which is more than sufficient for powering microcontrollers, sensors, and wireless modules. With a switching frequency of 1.1 MHz, the regulator enables small external components and fast transient response. Designed for ease of integration, the board features standard 0.1-inch spaced headers for breadboard or perfboard compatibility. It also includes thermal protection, current limit protection, and short circuit protection to ensure safe operation. The BabyBuck’s compact size, low quiescent current, and high efficiency make it an excellent choice for low-power embedded projects where regulated 3.3 V is required.Specifications
