The SparkFun GPS-15712 GPS Breakout board features the u-blox NEO-M9N GPS module, a high-performance, multi-GNSS receiver capable of tracking GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou satellite systems simultaneously. This allows for faster, more reliable positioning and enhanced accuracy even in challenging environments such as urban canyons or dense foliage. The NEO-M9N offers improved sensitivity and faster time-to-first-fix compared to previous generations, making it ideal for applications that require rapid and precise location data like drones, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and outdoor navigation. This breakout board provides a U.FL connector for attaching an external GPS antenna, maximizing signal reception quality. It also includes a Qwiic connector, enabling easy I2C communication and seamless integration with SparkFun’s Qwiic ecosystem. The board supports multiple interfaces including UART, SPI, and I2C, providing flexibility for a wide range of microcontrollers and development platforms. Designed for low power consumption and high reliability, the SparkFun GPS-15712 breakout is perfect for embedded systems requiring precise global positioning data with minimal hassle in wiring or setup.
