About this item

The Arducam 2MP Ultra Low Light Camera features the advanced Sony STARVIS IMX462 sensor, specifically designed for exceptional performance in low-light and night-time conditions. With a 2-megapixel resolution, this camera delivers clear and detailed images even in near-dark environments, making it perfect for security, surveillance, wildlife monitoring, and robotics applications. The module comes equipped with a motorized IR-CUT filter, allowing automatic switching between day (color) and night (infrared) modes for accurate color reproduction during the day and enhanced visibility at night. This IR-CUT mechanism improves image clarity and reduces color distortion under varying lighting conditions. The camera connects to Raspberry Pi via the standard MIPI CSI-2 interface and supports video streaming at 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. Its motorized focus allows precise and remote focus adjustments, ensuring sharp images across different distances. Compact and robust, this camera module integrates seamlessly with Raspberry Pi 4, 3B+, 3, Zero, and Compute Modules, and works out of the box with Raspberry Pi OS and popular vision libraries. It is an excellent choice for users needing reliable low-light imaging and intelligent IR control in a compact form factor.
