About this item

The Arducam IMX219 Auto Focus Camera Module is a versatile and enhanced upgrade for both Raspberry Pi V2 camera setups and NVIDIA Jetson Nano, offering plug‑and‑play replacement with superior imaging flexibility. At its heart lies the Sony IMX219 8‑megapixel sensor, delivering crisp still images at 3280×2464 pixels and smooth video across multiple resolutions including 1080p and VGA. What sets this module apart is its motorized, software‑controllable autofocus lens: simply press “UP” and “DOWN” keys or use provided scripts to adjust focus, or use autofocus code via Arducam’s open‑source examples. Ideal for robotics, drones, action cameras, 3D scanning, and machine vision, it retains native kernel driver support—though you’ll need to align camera drivers with your Jetson or Raspberry Pi OS version. The module is tailored to the official Jetson Developer Kit and requires the original V2 camera board on Raspberry Pi, as it’s a lens module—not a full camera board replacement. Compact and low‑power, it draws around 300 mA, maintaining the original camera’s form factor and interfacing over the standard CSI‑2 ribbon connection. Whether it’s applied to automated analytics, mobile imaging, or UAVs, this module blends high-res capture with dynamic focusing for precision visual tasks.
