The Arducam 5MP OV5647 NoIR Mini Camera is a compact and lightweight camera module designed specifically for Raspberry Pi projects that require infrared sensitivity and a small form factor. Equipped with the OmniVision OV5647 image sensor, it captures high-quality 5-megapixel still images and supports 1080p video recording at 30fps. The “NoIR” designation means the camera lacks an IR-cut filter, making it sensitive to infrared light. This allows it to see in complete darkness when used with external IR illumination, making it perfect for night vision, wildlife monitoring, security surveillance, and low-light imaging. Its miniature size makes it ideal for space-constrained applications such as robotics, drones, or portable embedded systems. It comes pre-attached with a flexible flat cable (FFC) that connects to the Raspberry Pi’s standard 15-pin CSI camera interface, offering plug-and-play compatibility with models like Raspberry Pi 4, 3B+, 3, 2, and Pi Zero (with adapter).
