At its heart is the Gowin GW1NR-9 FPGA, which offers 8,640 logic cells (LUT4), 6,480 flip-flops, 468 Kb block SRAM, and 608 Kb of embedded user flash memory. To expand its memory capabilities, it integrates 64 Mb of PSRAM and 32 Mbit SPI flash, with additional storage possible via a MicroSD card slot. This board supports various display interfaces including HDMI, RGB, and SPI, allowing developers to work with graphical outputs and display-based projects. A standout feature is its onboard BL702 microcontroller, which handles USB-JTAG and USB-UART communication, enabling easy programming and debugging over USB-C without external tools. It also features an onboard 27 MHz crystal oscillator and dual PLLs for stable clock generation. Designed for flexibility, the Tang Nano 9K offers rich I/O capabilities, user-configurable buttons and LEDs, and robust power handling through USB-C.
