The SPI BIOS Flash Program Clip – SOP16 to DIP8 is a specialized tool designed for in-circuit programming and testing of SOP8/SOP16 Flash memory chips without needing to desolder them from the motherboard or circuit board. This clip is widely used by technicians and developers for BIOS recovery, firmware flashing, and EEPROM data modification, especially on laptops, desktops, routers, and other embedded systems. The clip works by attaching securely over the SOP/SOIC IC (usually EEPROM or BIOS chips), connecting it to a programmer like CH341A, TL866, or USBasp, via an SOP to DIP8 adapter. This allows direct reading and writing to the chip while it's still soldered in place, drastically reducing time and risk of damaging the board.
