About this item

The ATmega32A is a powerful and versatile 8-bit AVR microcontroller developed by Microchip (formerly Atmel), widely used in embedded systems, robotics, automation, and academic projects. It is based on the AVR enhanced RISC architecture, capable of executing instructions in a single clock cycle, making it both fast and efficient. Running at clock speeds up to 16 MHz, it features 32 KB of Flash memory, 2 KB SRAM, and 1 KB EEPROM, providing ample space for code and data storage. Housed in a 40-pin DIP or 44-pin TQFP package, the ATmega32A offers 32 programmable I/O lines, 8-channel 10-bit ADC, three timer/counters, PWM support, SPI, I²C (TWI), USART, and analog comparators. It also includes external and internal interrupt support, as well as multiple power-saving modes for low-power applications. With JTAG support, the ATmega32A allows in-circuit debugging and programming, making development easier and more efficient. Due to its balance of features, cost, and ease of programming using tools like Atmel Studio or the Arduino IDE (with bootloader), the ATmega32A is ideal for both beginners and professionals looking to build robust embedded systems or learn microcontroller programming.
