About this item

The ATmega328P Microcontroller is one of the most popular and widely used standalone microcontrollers for electronics and embedded projects. It forms the heart of many Arduino boards, making it familiar and accessible to beginners and professionals alike. The ATmega328P is based on an 8-bit AVR enhanced RISC architecture, which offers efficient processing with low power consumption. It comes with 32 KB of ISP flash memory for storing programs, 1 KB of EEPROM for non-volatile data storage, and 2 KB of SRAM for runtime operations. It supports read-while-write capabilities, allowing continuous operation even during flash memory writes. The microcontroller features 6 channels of 10-bit ADC, providing accurate analog-to-digital conversion for sensors and other analog inputs. Communication is versatile with support for USART, SPI, and I2C protocols, making it easy to interface with a variety of peripherals. It has 23 general-purpose I/O pins and three flexible timers with compare modes for generating PWM signals and precise timing control. The ATmega328P also includes a programmable watchdog timer and supports five power-saving modes to optimize energy consumption. While it does not come with the Arduino bootloader pre-installed by default, it can be programmed easily via external programmers. The chip is ideal for applications requiring moderate processing power, robust communication, and efficient power management.
