It operates over a wide voltage range from 2.7 V to 6 V, making it compatible with typical microcontroller systems, and uses a simple UART (TTL) interface for seamless integration. The module delivers fast fixes, with a cold start time of around 27–38 seconds and hot start in about 1 second, while maintaining a 5 Hz update rate. An onboard rechargeable battery preserves satellite data through the backup RTC and EEPROM, enabling quicker subsequent lock times and better performance in mobile setups. It also includes an external patch antenna connected via U.FL for flexible placement and improved reception.
