The TXS0108E is an advanced, eight‑channel bidirectional logic level translator, ideal for interfacing devices across diverse voltage domains—ranging from as low as ~1.4 V (VCCA) up to 5.5 V (VCCB). Each channel independently senses signal direction, enabling full‑duplex communication without the need for external direction control or pull‑up resistors. In push‑pull mode, it supports high data rates—up to 110 Mbps—while open‑drain applications peak at around 1.2 Mbps. The IC includes edge‑rate acceleration and robust ESD protection (±2000 V HBM, ±8 kV contact discharge on the B‑port) alongside excellent latch‑up tolerance. It requires no specific power‑up sequencing—either voltage rail can be powered first. On breakout boards, all pins are routed to 0.1″ plated through‑hole headers for easy soldering. The OE (Output Enable) pin, by default pulled LOW via resistor, must be driven HIGH (to VCCA) to activate translation.
