The DS3231 RTC Module is a precise real-time clock designed for embedded systems requiring accurate timekeeping. Utilizing the DS3231 chip, it offers exceptional time accuracy of ±2ppm from 0°C to +40°C and ±3.5ppm from -40°C to +85°C. This module operates over a voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, making it compatible with various microcontrollers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi. It communicates via the I2C interface, supporting fast 400kHz data transfer, and includes a 32Kbit AT24C32 EEPROM for additional data storage. The module features a built-in 2032 coin cell battery holder, ensuring continuous timekeeping even during power outages. It supports both 12-hour and 24-hour time formats and provides date information up to the year 2100, with automatic leap-year compensation. Additional functionalities include two programmable time-of-day alarms, a square-wave output signal, and a digital temperature sensor with 10-bit resolution and ±3°C accuracy. The module's compact dimensions (38mm x 22mm x 14mm) and low power consumption make it suitable for a wide range of applications, including data loggers, clocks, and time-dependent systems.
