About this item
The Geekworm X1000 PCIe to M.2 Key-M NVMe SSD PIP TOP is a specialized expansion board designed for the Raspberry Pi 5, enabling the integration of M.2 NVMe SSDs for enhanced storage performance. This board facilitates the use of high-speed NVMe SSDs, which can significantly improve data transfer rates and system responsiveness compared to traditional SD cards. It supports M.2 Key-M SSDs in 2230 and 2242 form factors, making it compatible with a wide range of NVMe drives. The X1000 connects to the Raspberry Pi 5 via a 30mm FFC PCIe ribbon cable, ensuring a secure and stable connection. To address power requirements, the board can draw power directly from the FFC PCIe ribbon, providing up to 5W of continuous power, or alternatively, it can utilize the 40-pin GPIO header to supply power, accommodating larger SSDs that may have higher power demands. The board also features an ACT LED indicator, which provides visual feedback on the power and data transfer status. Additionally, the X1000 is designed to be compatible with other HAT shields and supports the installation of official active coolers, ensuring optimal thermal management for both the Raspberry Pi 5 and the attached SSD. Please note that the Raspberry Pi 5 board, SSD, TF card, and power adapter are not included with the X1000.Specifications
