About this item

The Digilent Eclypse Z7 is a high-performance development board designed for modular instrumentation, featuring the Xilinx Zynq-7020 SoC. It integrates a 667 MHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor with programmable logic equivalent to the Artix-7 FPGA, offering a versatile platform for embedded systems and signal processing applications. Equipped with 1 GB DDR3L memory and 16 MB Quad-SPI Flash, the board supports various programming methods, including JTAG, Quad-SPI flash, and microSD card. Connectivity options include Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, SDIO, SPI, UART, CAN, and I²C interfaces, facilitating seamless communication with external devices. The Eclypse Z7 features two SYZYGY-compatible Zmod ports, each offering 8 differential I/Os and 16 single-ended I/Os, enabling high-speed modular expansion for applications such as software-defined radio and medical instrumentation. Additionally, it includes two Pmod ports for further I/O expansion, along with user-friendly features like RGB LEDs and push-buttons. Powered by an external 12V 5A supply, the board is optimized for rapid prototyping and development in fields requiring high-speed data acquisition and processing. Its open and customizable software architecture, including support for Petalinux, allows developers to leverage hardware acceleration without direct FPGA programming, streamlining the development process.
