The Digilent MCC USB-CTR04 is a high-speed counter/timer USB device designed for precise frequency and pulse measurements in industrial automation, embedded systems, and laboratory applications. It features four counter inputs with a maximum input frequency of 48 MHz and supports software-selectable resolutions up to 64 bits, enabling accurate counting of high-frequency events. With an aggregate scan rate of 8 MB/s, it ensures rapid data acquisition for time-sensitive applications. The device offers multiple counter input modes, including totalize, period, pulse width, and timing, allowing flexibility in measuring various signal characteristics. Additionally, it provides four independent pulse-width modulation (PWM) timers, which can be utilized for generating precise timing signals. The eight bit-configurable digital I/O channels facilitate integration with external devices, enhancing the device's versatility. Synchronous high-speed reads of digital and counter inputs ensure consistent data capture across all channels.
