The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4101016  1GB RAM, 16GB eMMC, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 5.0) is the entry-level configuration in the CM4 family, built for embedded products where cost efficiency matters more than raw performance. It runs on the same Broadcom BCM2711 quad-core Cortex-A72 processor found across the CM4 range, delivering dependable performance for lightweight, dedicated-purpose applications rather than heavy multitasking.

With 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard eMMC storage, this variant is best suited to devices running a single, well-defined task  a sensor gateway, a display controller, a network appliance, or a fixed-function IoT device  where the software footprint is small and predictable. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 add wireless connectivity without needing an external module, useful for products that need to stay compact.

Like every Compute Module, this is a SoM rather than a standalone board it requires a compatible carrier board (such as the CM4 IO Board) to access USB, HDMI, Ethernet, GPIO, and PCIe interfaces.
