About this item

The BIGTREETECH SFS V2.0 (Smart Filament Sensor) is an intelligent upgrade for 3D printers, designed to detect filament blockages, runout, jamming, or breakage in real time. Unlike traditional filament sensors that only detect presence or absence, the SFS V2.0 uses an internal mechanical sensor and signal processing algorithm to monitor actual filament movement during printing. When abnormal filament feeding is detected—such as clogging, slipping, or breakage—the sensor immediately sends a signal to pause the printer, preventing failed prints and filament waste. It ensures continuous and reliable printing, especially during long jobs or with flexible or brittle filaments. The SFS V2.0 is compatible with most 3D printers running Marlin, Klipper, or other open-source firmware and connects easily via a standard 3-pin interface. Its compact design allows it to be mounted directly on the printer frame or near the extruder. Ideal for both direct-drive and Bowden-style setups, the BIGTREETECH SFS V2.0 significantly improves print success rate, reduces waste, and adds peace of mind for all users—from hobbyists to professionals.
