About this item
The ELECROW Crowtail BMP180 Barometer is a precision atmospheric pressure sensor module which also includes temperature measurement. It uses a Bosch BMP180 chip, employing piezo‑resistive technology, to deliver accurate, low‑noise pressure readings. The module is factory‑calibrated (calibration coefficients stored in internal ROM), so you can start using it right away without extra calibration. Pressure range spans from about 300 to 1100 hPa (useful from below sea level up to high altitudes), making it suitable for weather stations, altimeters, UAVs or outdoor environment logging. In addition to barometric pressure, it also measures ambient temperature with decent accuracy. Communication is via standard I²C (“Wire”) interface, simplifying integration with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP8266 / ESP32, Raspberry Pi etc. It supports a supply voltage as low as 1.8V, up to about 3.6V. The power consumption is very low, especially in low‑power or standby modes, which helps in battery‑powered or remote deployments. Physically it has a compact Crowtail 4‑pin cable for easy plug‑and‑play with Crowtail base shields or compatible boards. Overall, it’s a robust, small and efficient solution for adding pressure / altitude / temp sensing capabilities.
