The Elecrow LR1302 LoRaWAN Hat is a versatile expansion board designed for Raspberry Pi models 1 through 5, enabling long-range wireless communication using the powerful Semtech SX1302 chipset. Operating on the 868 MHz and 915 MHz frequency bands, this HAT is ideal for IoT applications such as smart agriculture, smart cities, and remote sensor networks. Its compact form factor (65×57.2 mm) and lightweight design make it suitable for space-limited environments. Equipped with an integrated GPS module supporting GPS L1, GLONASS L1, and BeiDou B1, the LR1302 ensures precise location tracking and timing with a built-in real-time clock (RTC). It features a 5V DC cooling fan to maintain optimal operating temperature during extended use. The HAT’s design includes a 40-pin GPIO header for easy Raspberry Pi integration and status LEDs to monitor power, transmission, reception, and GPS activity. Included accessories such as dual-mode antennas and connection cables make setup straightforward. While the LR1302 provides the interface, the separate LR1302 LoRaWAN Gateway Module is required for full operation, offering a complete solution for deploying LoRaWAN gateways quickly and reliably.
