About this item

The Sipeed Tang Primer 25K Core Board is a compact and powerful FPGA development platform built around the GOWIN GW5A-LV25MG121 FPGA chip. Designed for embedded system prototyping, hardware experimentation, and FPGA education, the board offers a high logic density in a remarkably small footprint of just 23 x 17.8 mm. It features 23,040 LUT4 logic cells, 1,008 Kbit of block RAM, and 64 Mbit of onboard SPI NOR Flash for program storage. The core module includes a DC-DC power supply and connects via a BTB interface to a breakout or dock board. It supports up to 76 general-purpose IOs and includes a 4-lane MIPI interface for high-speed data transfers, suitable for applications like image processing and video capture. When paired with the optional Dock board, it adds a USB-C port for UART and JTAG debugging, USB-A host, SDRAM expansion via a 40-pin header, PMOD ports, user LEDs, and buttons. This board is ideal for developers looking to dive into RISC-V soft-core CPUs, retro computing projects, or building custom logic designs. Its modular design and PMOD compatibility make it versatile and suitable for educational environments, prototyping, or even final product development.
