T&CAbout this item
The DFRobot Fermion: ENS160 Air Quality Sensor (Breakout) is an advanced digital environmental sensor designed for accurate indoor air quality (IAQ) monitoring. Based on ScioSense’s ENS160 sensor, it uses MOX (metal-oxide) sensing technology to detect multiple harmful gases, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and CO₂ equivalents. It provides high-resolution air quality data, making it ideal for applications like smart homes, HVAC systems, air purifiers, and personal air quality monitors. The sensor can measure and output values for TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds), eCO₂ (equivalent CO₂ levels), and an IAQ index, offering a comprehensive view of ambient air quality. Thanks to its built-in digital signal processing, the ENS160 outputs compensated and calibrated data, reducing the need for external processing. The breakout board supports both I2C and SPI interfaces, ensuring easy compatibility with a wide range of development platforms like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32. With low power consumption, a compact footprint, and robust performance, the ENS160 breakout is ideal for portable, wearable, and embedded air monitoring projects.
